Lot 1

HES requires specialist asbestos inspection and management services, including removal or stabilisation of asbestos where required and agreed, primarily, but not exclusively, for its historic collections held at Properties in Care throughout Scotland. These collections vary greatly in size, material and date. Examples include small archaeological finds, large carved stones, artillery, books and archival material etc. HES hold material associated with over 160 properties across Scotland, though work will likely focus on our industrial, military and social history sites.

Options: The Contracting Authority reserves the right to request additional deliveries by the successful Tenderer, either intended as partial replacement of supplies or installations or as extensions of existing supplies and installations. The Contracting Authority may at its sole discretion exercise this option.

Renewal: The contract will cover an initial period of two years with the option to extend for a further one year period, meaning the total possible contract length would be three years (36 months). This extension may be exercised at the sole discretion of HES.
