Notice Description

South Lanarkshire Council's Roads and Transportation Services requires Inspection, Service, Maintenance & Repair of Portable Gas Appliances such as hand torches, road lining prams, mushroom burners, tar boilers, tool heaters and mobile hotboxes in accordance with manufacturer's guidelines, where available. The Contractor will further be responsible for the calibration of all thermostats. The contractor must be fully conversant with the operation of the items listed and be suitably trained and insured to carry out service and repair operations as appropriate. The Council will also have a requirement for the successful Contractor to provide and fit replacement parts where deemed necessary and for the supply of new appliances where required (with the exception of mobile hotboxes). All appliances will be inspected, serviced and maintained on a pre-programmed 3 monthly basis to ensure they are retained in a safe condition at all times in accordance with the following British Compressed Gases Association codes of practice. - The British Compressed Gases Association (BCGA) Code of Practice 7 (CP7): The Safe Use of Oxy Fuel Gas Equipment (Individual Portable or Mobile Cylinder Supply) Revision 8:2018 - The British Compressed Gases Association (BCGA) Code of Practice 47 (CP47): The Safe Use of Individual Portable or Mobile Cylinder Gas Supply Equipment Revision 1:2018
