        "procurementMethodRationale": "The University, on behalf of the Continuous Manufacturing and Advanced Crystallisation hub, entered into a contract with Sotax Ltd to provide a fully automated dissolution system. The dissolution system will be used by CMAC solely for research purposes and will not be used to establish commercial viability or recover research and development costs. Sotax offer a dissolution system that can perform multiple 100% unattended dissolution runs including media preparation, vacuum de-gassing, gravimetric vessel filling, multiple sample additions, sampling (resident probe and auto-lift), in vessel temperature monitoring, filtration, fast media change in line with USP requirements whilst running a test and self-cleaning. The system also makes it possible to obtain results in real-time with integrated spectroscopy (e.g UV-VIS) and collect samples offline for different analutical techniques such as HPLC. This allows CMAC, as an internationally leading research centre, to add to its dissolution testing capability with the addition of a fully automated system. Dissolution is a key part of CMAC's overall analytical capability, supporting CMAC's extensive research programme and partnerships with Tier 1 (industrial pharmaceutical) partners. As a result of the aforementioned provisions, the University awarded the contract for Supply, Delivery and Installation of Automated Dissolution System to Sotax Ltd.",
