Dumfries and Galloway Council are looking to purchase and have installed between 7-9 cycle-hubs throughout the region. The cycle hub will comprise of cycle racks, public use pump and repair stand, lighting, CCTV, electrics, manifestations to glazed panels, automated sliding glazed door & pocket screen, wayfinding and instructional signage, access control based on Smart phone app or fob system. Other cladding such as wood, metal or composite panels will be considered to blend in with the surrounding environment. Not focussed on the number of bikes but it must have facilities for charging and storing E-Bikes and E-Cargo Bikes plus Accessibility E-Bikes/Bikes. The number of bikes and no. of storage tiers will be determined by the size of the hub. Suppliers are expected to deliver, install and apply for all permissions for cycle-hub in accordance with all relevant regulations. Work is expected to commence in Aug/Sept 2024.
