Notice Description

Lot Information

Lot 1

SCTS are currently using a livestreaming system which is now no longer fit for purpose in regards to current business needs and overall strategic direction. Streaming is the method of data transmission used when someone watches video on the Internet. It is a way to deliver a video file a little bit at a time, often from a remote storage location. By transmitting a few seconds of the file at a time over the internet, client devices do not have to download the entire video before starting to play it. Live streaming is when the streamed video is sent over the Internet in real time, without first being recorded and stored. Today, TV broadcasts, video game streams, and social media video can all be live-streamed. SCTS use livestreaming in specific civil and criminal courts After evaluating various options, SCTS shortlisted Azure Media Services (AMS) as a potential replacement. AMS aligns well with most of SCTS's requirements. An initial proof of concept (POC) was conducted by SCTS's IT teams to assess AMS, and it proved to be a suitable choice. AMS is currently deployed on SCTS's platform for live streaming. However, Microsoft, the provider of AMS, has decided to retire its live streaming services, as such, Azure media services will no longer be supported by Microsoft post Jun 2024 so will need to be replaced with an appropriate like for like service to ensure operational service resumes, with no loss or degradation of live service for the civil & criminal courts Requirements SCTS are seeking a contract which covers fixed price support and development for the current Livestreaming system & like for like replacement. This is for a Live Streaming service on a streaming platform/network only. There are no hardware requirements.. Please read the attached documents carefully and if you wish to express an interest fill in the RFI document attached.
