Glasgow City Council require to appoint a supplier who will create a brand identity to celebrate Glasgow's 850th Birthday in 2025. To celebrate this the city plans to curate and support a year long programme of events and activity to celebrate this milestone. It is proposed that there will be a number of themes that the city will activate around - Communities and neighbourhoods - Civic - Culture - Business and skills - Education and young people - The climate emergency - Tourism and visitor economy - Architecture and heritage - Science and Innovation - Immigration - Food and drink - Sport - Volunteering The council require development of an engaging brand identity to celebrate Glasgow 850th anniversary. The brand must work across all target audiences and should resonate with Glasgow's citizens (across all age groups), businesses, visitors, investors and diaspora. The branding will be applied across a range of marketing tools including but not limited to digitally (Website/intranet/Social Media platform/email), film content, event branding, marketing collateral, promotional items, city dressing and more. The brand should be connected to the city's core brand, People Make Glasgow, it shouldn't feel like a new separate brand, it should celebrate our history and heritage and positive about our future, feel essentially Glaswegian and consider out diverse audiences..
