Lot 1

The Department of Pure & Applied Chemistry within the University of Strathclyde, required a single supplier to supply, deliver and commission a peptide synthesiser. The system is to enable the parallel production of peptides, proteins, and their derivatives using solid phase peptide synthesis approaches. The system will permit the multiple parallel synthesis if this important class of biomolecule for applications in chemical biology, and medicine design. The contract includes delivery, installation, commissioning and be accompanied by a minimum of 12 months warranty.. The total contract value is inclusive of 24 additional months service & maintenance that was included within the tender documentation and taken up by the Contracting Authority at point of award.

Options: The Contracting Authority reserves the right to request additional services from the successful Tenderer, either intended extension of existing services/supply or in replacement of existing services/supply. The Contracting Authority may at its sole discretion exercise this option. In line with 72 - Modification of Contracts During their Term, of the Public Contracts (Scotland) Regulations 2015, this Contract may be modified without a new procurement procedure in accordance with this Part in some cases.
