To improve riding experiences and maintain use of the black grade trail as it is within an area which is not sensitive for capercaillie, we are seeking an experienced contractor to repair, re-model and renew key sections of the trail where appropriate to: Maintain the character of the trail, including the trail grade (see supporting documents) and ride experience. Improve sustainability by helping to minimise water damage and erosion from unnecessary lines developing. Reduce penalty of errors around line choice and trail side hazards. Within these parameters, the following points should be considered: Improving flow, sight lines and clarity of line choice with due regard to maintaining the character of the trail, the trail grade and ride experience. Most of the materials used should be sourced from the immediate area. Involving the Badenoch and Strathspey Trail Association regards general support, material stockpiling and trail housekeeping. Involving the wider rider community where possible.
