Cloud Data Platform Support - DCIM
Notice Description
The support service provider will provide support to answer and resolve calls from Digital Connectivity Information Management (DCIM) staff within the agreed scope of work encompassing the following services: Applying security patches to AWS Workspaces. Updating applications used on Workspaces. Installing additional applications on Workspaces where required. Installation of security certificates. Whitelisting IP addresses where required. Assisting in the development of new API services to publish data to stakeholder facing platforms. Assisting in the development of new API services to publish geospatial data to stakeholder-facing platforms via GeoServer application. Installation of any background security applications or security measures, as specified by Scottish Government cyber security colleagues. Scaling of resources as required on specific Workspaces, or underlying RDS database infrastructure as required. Database platform management: ongoing provision of database backups and their retention. Monitoring resource use. identifying where resource use might become expensive or inefficient. Decommissioning unused assets such as AWS S3 buckets or EBS volumes. Incident reporting via email. Incident response and resolution to agreed Service Level (as per section 5). Creating Workspaces for new team members. Access Control functionality. DCIM colleagues tasked with development work (such as writing code, setting up scheduled automated processes or developing security and authentication services to share data with third parties) any additional input from technical specialists, or development time that extends beyond the allocated time within the fixed-price element (detailed above) of the contract, is to be charged on a time and materials basis. Development support requirements will be commissioned via a statement of works process.
