The University of Edinburgh has awarded a contract to CD Course Limited for delivery of digital micro learning courses, accessed via SMS text and email, to all new UG, PGT and possibly PGR students for the 2024/25 academic year. This follows a successful pilot last year, we would like to repeat this initiative in the 2023/24. The contract will run for 3 years. These micro courses support the University to meet its duty of care for students' wellbeing and safety on campus and is a critical annual activity for new students. For the last 12 months we have been speaking to other universities in the UK and undertaking extensive web research to see if there are any other similar providers with an understanding of the UK context who can deliver similar material as micro learning courses delivered vis SMS text and email. To date, GoodCourse has been the only provider capable of meeting all of our requirements.

Following a successful pilot last year, we would like to repeat this initiative in the 2024/24 academic year with the first courses being delivered to new students starting in September 2024. These courses engage students on key student welfare and experience topics (for example consent, bystander training), with the aim of supporting the University's Code of Student Conduct, improving student experience and promoting inclusive behaviours. Following lengthy review of available options on the market the University's Student Experience Services is confident that the awarded supplier is the only provider on the market capable of meeting our specification and required timelines.

This is also indicative of GoodCourse's position as the only UK provider in this specific market.
