Generation Scotland is a research study looking at the health and well-being of volunteers and their families. Volunteers answer questionnaires and provide samples for genetic testing. The initial project collected 24,000 samples which were run on Illumina genotyping and methylation arrays. The new funding is allowing the collection of a further 20,000 samples which will also be run on Illumina arrays.
