Notice Description
The Council is required to implement a new contract to provide the necessary facilities to sort, treat and dispose of waste upholstered domestic seating (WUDs)containing Persistent Organic Pollutants (POPs) collected via the Council's "Special Uplift Service", dumped wastes from the Council's "Removal of Fly Tipping" service, the Council's "Housing bulky household waste removal" collected by the Council's Housing Service and the Council's Household Waste Recycling Centres.

The Council is required to implement a new contract to provide the necessary facilities to sort, treat and dispose of waste upholstered domestic seating(WUDs) containing Persistent Organic Pollutants (POPs) collected via the Council's "Special Uplift Service", dumped wastes from the Council's "Removal of Fly Tipping" service, the Council's "Housing bulky household waste removal" collected by the Council's Housing Service and the Council's Household Waste Recycling Centres. The Special Uplift Service is one of several services offered and operated by the Council's Waste Solutions Section and complements the weekly domestic kerbside collection services and Household Waste Recycling Centres, (HWRC),that are strategically located throughout the North Lanarkshire area. The Service provider shall provide reception, sorting, treatment, and disposal services for waste upholstered domestic seating containing Persistent Organic Pollutants from the services below: - The Council's "Special Uplift Service" excluding items of Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) with the exception of electrical reclining chairs as they are considered outside of scope of the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) regulations 2013 (as amended) - Dumped wastes from the Council's "Removal of Fly Tipping" Service - Housing Bulky household waste removal - Household Waste Recycling Centres .
Options: This contract may be re-advertised once this contract terminates.
