Summary of the contracting process

The Registers of Scotland has awarded a contract for temporary and interim IT staff, specifically for a Senior User Researcher - Customer Facing Domain. The contract was awarded to Venesky Brown Ltd through a direct procurement method, as they are the top-ranked supplier on the Scottish Government Temporary and Interim Staff (IT) - 4th Generation - Collaborative Framework Agreement. This procurement process falls under the 'services' industry category, focusing on the supply services of personnel, including temporary staff. The contractual location includes Meadowbank House, Edinburgh, and/or St Vincent Plaza, Glasgow, operating within a hybrid working model. The initial contract duration is six months, with the possibility of extensions that will not exceed the original contract period, and the contract was signed on 9th September 2024.

This tender presents a valuable opportunity for businesses specialising in IT staffing services to grow their operations by participating in such high-value government contracts. Companies experienced in supplying skilled IT personnel, especially those capable of providing high-quality interim workers, would be well-suited to compete for future opportunities within this framework. The direct award based on criteria of 80 per cent quality and 20 per cent price highlights the advantage for businesses that can demonstrate superior quality and specialised expertise in their service offerings. This focus on quality over price ensures that companies with proven capabilities in delivering outstanding IT services can leverage their strengths to secure similar contracts, fostering business growth and establishing long-term relationships with government entities.
