Procurement Information
A decision has been taken to waiver the formal competitive tendering procedures in relation to the above noted project. The rationale for this decision is undernoted: The Suttie Centre is the recognised training delivery unit for NHS Grampian and has the ability to deliver the above courses. More information on the Suttie Centre can be found here - https://www.abdn.ac.uk/suttie-centre/clinical-skills/simulation-training-centre.php NES have a requirement as part of the Medicine Simulation Strategy to provide equity of access to training opportunities for trainees across Scotland. Training must be provided in areas other than the Central Belt so as to not disadvantage trainees in the North of Scotland. The Suttie Centre work in collaboration with NHS Grampian and are the only simulation centre within this area therefore the only supplier who can deliver this requirement for NES. Delivering this training locally will also minimise the impact on clinical practise and reduce the travelling and associated costs of this for trainees and reduce cardon footprint.
