Summary of the contracting process

RSPB Scotland, a well-established charity organisation focused on environmental protection, is seeking tenders for structural remedial works to an agricultural shed located at Onziebust Farm, Egilsay, Orkney, KW17 2QD. The tender includes the removal of defective structural steelwork and the construction of a new gable. This open procedure calls for suppliers to submit their electronic proposals by 4th November 2024, with the contract award starting on the same date. The primary category of procurement is construction works, specifically within the environmental sector, and the project is expected to be completed within 60 days from the start date.

This tender presents a significant opportunity for businesses specialising in construction, particularly those with expertise in structural steelwork and remedial projects. Companies that can offer comprehensive solutions including design, installation of safe working platforms, temporary structural supports, and environmental safety compliance will find this opportunity particularly appealing. Additionally, firms with experience in the logistics of rural projects and decommissioning and recycling of old materials stand a competitive chance in securing this contract. With RSPB Scotland as the buyer, businesses can leverage this prestigious association to enhance their portfolio and demonstrate their capability in handling substantial environmental and structural projects.
