Summary of the contracting process

The Registers of Scotland has awarded a contract for IT Temporary and Interim Staff Direct Award - Frontend Developer to Venesky Brown Ltd, located in Edinburgh. The procurement falls under the supply services of personnel, specifically within the IT sector. This direct award process means the contract was given to a single supplier without a competitive tender. The contract duration is for 12 months, starting from 11th November 2024 to 11th September 2025, with the possibility of extensions not exceeding the initial period. The project is based in Meadowbank House, Edinburgh, or St Vincent Plaza, Glasgow, with hybrid working options available within the UK. The award is evaluated based on 80 per cent quality of the interim worker and 20 per cent price, with a cost guideline of up to £550 per day, including the agency fee.

This procurement presents substantial opportunities for IT service providers who specialise in staffing and temporary personnel supply. Companies like Venesky Brown Ltd, with expertise in IT interim staffing, are particularly well-suited for such contracts. The framework allows companies to showcase their quality in providing expert IT staff, fostering growth through recurring government contracts. The hybrid working model also enables businesses to cater to flexible working arrangements, thereby increasing their pool of available personnel and potentially enhancing service delivery.
