Summary of the contracting process

The public procurement process initiated by NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde involves the commissioning of an evaluation component for the Whole Family Wellbeing Fund through Primary Care. The procurement, conducted under an open procedure, focuses on the health industry category and is centralised in Glasgow, with specific delivery locations tied to the UKM82 region. Key dates include the tender period ending on 18 November 2024 and the contract, valued at £134,000, being awarded on 27 December 2024 to the University Court of the University of Glasgow. The procurement stages include both tender and award, with the current status being active and ongoing collaboration sought for innovative evaluation methods using both qualitative and quantitative data.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses specialising in health services evaluation, providing a chance to engage with a critical NHS initiative alongside the Scottish Government. Businesses with expertise in employing mixed methods for evaluation, particularly those capable of consulting with children and young people, would find this tender especially suited. Smaller and larger businesses alike, given the open nature of the procurement method, have the opportunity to demonstrate their capability in delivering high-quality and technical evaluation services, making this an apt venture to enhance business growth and establish long-term partnerships with major public health entities.
