Summary of the contracting process

The Registers of Scotland has initiated a direct award procurement process titled "Award of RoS - SG IT Temporary and Interim Staff Direct Award - Technical Lead - Land Registration" within the services industry category. The contract, based on the Scottish Government Temporary and Interim Staff (IT) - 4th Generation - Collaborative Framework Agreement, has been awarded to Venesky Brown Ltd. The contractual base includes Meadowbank House in Edinburgh and St Vincent Plaza in Glasgow, embracing a hybrid working model. The contract is signed as of 11th August 2024, and will last for 12 months with potential extensions not exceeding the initial period. This procurement is in the award stage with a contract value of £144,000.

This tender provides significant opportunities for businesses specialising in IT temporary and interim staffing services, particularly those proficient in technical lead roles for land registration. The process emphasises high-quality interim workers with a focus on 80 per cent quality and 20 per cent price in the award criteria. Companies able to provide skilled candidates and adhere to the competitive daily rate guidance of up to £600 can leverage this opportunity for business growth. Additionally, since the procurement involves a direct award, businesses ranked high on relevant frameworks, such as the Scottish Government Framework Agreement, are particularly well-suited to compete.
