Upgrades to VS200 Side Scanning Microscope System
Notice Description
The Scottish Ministers invites tenders for the upgrade of a VS200 Slide Scanning Microscope System.
Lot Information
Lot 1
The Scottish Ministers invites tenders for the upgrade of a VS200 Slide Scanning Microscope System. The Olympus VS200 research slide scanner is a versatile imaging platform capable of performing high-resolution digitization and analysis of microscopy slides. The instrument currently has two areas where we are seeking an upgrade to:- i) it is optimised for brightfield microscopy only. An upgrade to include fluorescence microscopy is required to expand capability for advanced analysis. ii) The microscope already has a 60x oil-immersion lens, but to use it requires addition of an automatic oil dispenser to ensure consistent and precise application of immersion oil. We are currently limited to using a 40x air objective lens. Ability to use the 60x oil-immersion lens will greatly improve the available resolution of scans for analysis and diagnosis.
