The Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh (RBGE) is one of the world's leading scientific botanic gardens, renowned for the excellence of its plant research, horticulture and education. Its scientists work in more than 55 countries around the world, describing new species and conserving plants that are threatened in the wild. RBGE's four Gardens form part of Scotland's National Collections. They are Edinburgh, Dawyck, Logan and Benmore. RBGE is looking for place a 3 year catering concession contract at Dawyck Garden with the possibility of an extension for a further 2 years. (Max 5yrs in total). The catering requirement for garden visitors is based on hot and cold drinks with speciality and artisan teas and coffee being one of the unique selling points, sandwiches, savoury snacks, hot items such soup along with takeaway salads, picnics and cakes. Where possible produce should be sourced locally, service should be speedy and professional. Dawyck Botanic Garden is open daily 10:00am to the public from the 1st February to 30th November inclusive. There is likely to be a requirement for catering for internal meetings and events. Examples include working sandwich lunches, press launches and Trustees meetings. In addition, there may be public, member and fundraising events organised by DBG out of hours which require catering services. Financial arrangements will be based on a minimum annual payment guarantee (MAP) from the concessionaire, to RBGE. Full details are in the tender document.. This is a Concession Contract
