Notice Description
The University of Strathclyde (Contracting Authority) on behalf of the National Manufacturing Institute of Scotland (NMIS) seeks to award a contract to a single supplier for the supply, delivery, installation and commissioning of a CNC Turning Centre Machine, to be delivered and installed at the NMIS facility. The Contract duration is anticipated for a period of 14 months inclusive of a 12 month warranty period and maximum 6 week lead time.

This Contract Award Notice relates to an open tender below the Agreement on Government Procurement (GPA) threshold for the supply, delivery, installation and commissioning of a CNC Turning Centre Machine at NMIS. It is the Contracting Authority's intention to award a contract to a single supplier, to carry out all aspects of the Contract. The successful supplier shall be able to fulfil the below non-exhaustive list of requirements: 1 The offered solution must have a minimum of 200mm diameter chuck 2 The offered solution must have a spindle with a minimum of 4000rpm 3 The proposed solution must have a minimum of a 12 station turret 4 The proposed solution must have through tool coolant 5 The offered solution must be delivered to the specified NMIS location within a 6 week lead time.
Options: The Contracting Authority reserves the right to request additional deliveries by the Successful Tenderer, either intended as partial replacement of supplies or installations or as extensions of existing supplies and installations. The Contracting Authority may at its sole discretion exercise this option.
