This strategy seeks to enhance the cluster’s competitiveness by identifying current and potential strengths, assessing and prioritising commercial opportunities for growth, and outlining actionable steps over short, medium, and long-term timelines. The procurement process has progressed to the award stage, with the contract initiated on 12th March 2025 and expected to conclude by the end of July 2025. The total contract value is approximately between £60,000 and £70,000, excluding VAT, and covers services to be delivered primarily within the UKM region.

The project demands a thorough understanding of advanced manufacturing and fine chemicals, which are key sectors targeted for expansion. Companies well-versed in developing growth strategies, attracting investment, and promoting regional development will find this project well-suited to their capabilities. The Grangemouth industrial cluster is a key driver of Scotland's manufacturing sector and economy. To support its continued growth and development. On behalf of the Grangemouth Future Industry Board (GFIB) Scottish Enterprise is procuring consultancy services to create an industrial cluster strategy for Grangemouth, the outcomes of this will be shared with the GFIB. This strategy will focus on enhancing the cluster's competitiveness by setting out current and potential strengths of the cluster, assessing and prioritising commercial opportunities for industrial growth, and setting out clear, actionable steps across short, medium, and long-term timelines. It will also align with key plans and policies such as the Forth Green Freeport and Falkirk and Grangemouth Growth Deal. The consultancy will identify opportunities to expand key sectors like fine chemicals and advanced manufacturing, and measures to attract investment and new industries to the area. It is anticipated that the contract will start in March 2025 and conclude by the end of July 2025. The value of the contract is expected to be in the region of between GBP60,000 and GBP70,000 excluding VAT. Full details can be found in the ITT.",
