The Contracting Authority has embarked upon a programme of work which will consider how the national screening programmes should be supported by IT systems in the future. This contract provides continuity of service for the Diabetic Eye Screening Programme over the envisaged timescales for that review programme and any associated transition to successor arrangements arising from the outcomes of that programme. The contract will be for a period of five years with an additional two one year optional extensions at the discretion of the contracting authority.",

        "reviewDetails": "The veat notification previously published incorporated a 'standstill period' of a minimum of 10 clear calendar days (or a minimum of 15 days if the communication method used is not electronic) between the date on which the Authority dispatched the VEAT notice and the date on which the Authority concluded the contract. The bringing of court proceedings against the authority after the contract has been entered into will not affect the contract unless grounds for the imposition of special penalties under the Public Contracts (Scotland) Regulations 2015 can be established. Otherwise, the remedies that maybe awarded by the courts where the contract has been entered into are limited to the award of damages.",
