The Host and Tumour Profiling Unit (HTPU) currently houses an Innopsys Innoscan 710 AL. This is now at end of life and requires replacement.

Competition is absent for technical reasons, but only where no reasonable alternative or substitute exists and the absence of competition is not the result of an artificial narrowing down of the parameters of the procurement.
Procurement Information
Regulated Standard Operating Procedures are in use at the facility and therefore requires like-for-like replacement of the instrument to ensure continuity of service to customers; for research data output for both research samples and use in clinical trials. Furthermore, the University already owns the Mapix software and 3 licence keys which will be transferred to the new instrument without added cost. The supplier is the sole UK distributor of the instrument which is manufactured by Innopsys in France.
