Summary of the contracting process

The Scottish Sports Council, trading as sportscotland, has issued a tender for establishing a Learning and Development Framework. This procurement process, under the industry category of services, invites suitably qualified suppliers to provide training and learning opportunities across multiple areas, including business success in sport, communication skills, personal effectiveness, meeting community needs, leadership development, and inclusion. Key dates include the tender submission deadline on 22nd April 2025, amended to accommodate the Easter break, with the commencement of the contract anticipated in June 2025. The Framework will last for two years, with options for two 12-month extensions, and the location for these services is across Scotland.

This tender presents significant business growth opportunities for suppliers specialising in educational and developmental services. Companies with expertise in business, leadership, communication, community engagement, and inclusivity are well-suited to compete for this Framework. The open procurement method means numerous suppliers can participate, with the option to bid for one or more of the specific lots. Successful appointment to any of the main lots will automatically include the supplier in the provision of non-core services. The structured framework agreement offers stability and potential extended collaboration, encouraging suppliers to bring innovative and efficient training solutions to sportscotland and its partner organisations.
