The Scottish Government Legal Directorate requires the supply and delivery of law accountant services to prepare and review accounts of legal expenses following litigation and for ad hoc general advice on issues relating to judicial expenses, including: - The review of files and documentation and subsequent preparation of accounts of judicial expenses when the clients of the Scottish Government Legal Directorate are successful in obtaining an award of expenses in their favour following the conclusion of litigation; - The review of documentation, accounts of judicial expenses and the preparation of points of objection to accounts of judicial expenses when the clients of the Scottish Government Legal Directorate are subject to adverse awards of expenses following the conclusion of litigation; - The attendance of law accountants at diets of taxation or similar processes where accounts of judicial expenses are subject to taxation or audit; - General advice on judicial expenses, accounts of expenses and other expenses related issues including, but not limited to, advice as to the relevant scales and bases of recovery; - Such ancillary services related to the preparation and negotiation of accounts of judicial expenses as may be necessary To ensure conflicts of interest are managed appropriately, a multi-supplier framework is proposed.
