The Council has a statutory requirement to ensure that public buildings under its control are safe to use. With regard to sprinkler Systems within public buildings, they are required to be inspected and serviced regularly to ensure that it is in full working order should it ever be required to supress a fire. This is a specialist service therefore the Council employs a specialist supplier to carry out this requirement.
