Summary of the contracting process

This procurement process, managed by the Registers of Scotland, involves a direct award for IT temporary and interim staff services under a specific framework agreement. The contract has been awarded to Venesky Brown Ltd, based in Edinburgh, with a duration of 12 months starting from 7th July 2025, with possible extensions not exceeding the initial period. The procurement is categorised under services with a focus on the supply of temporary personnel. The contract value is set at £120,000, and the work will accommodate hybrid working within the UK. This award process prioritised 80 per cent quality and 20 per cent price, indicating a significant emphasis on the competency of the interim worker.

This tender presents substantial business growth opportunities for companies specialising in IT staffing services, particularly those capable of delivering high-quality interim workers. Firms with a strong understanding of the Scottish Government’s framework agreements and the ability to ensure personnel meet the Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) can leverage this opportunity. Suppliers with a proven track record in offering competitive, high-calibre IT personnel and demonstrating adaptability to hybrid working models will find this contract appealing. Given the direct award nature, businesses with established connections and experience in public sector procurement processes may have a competitive edge.
