The recently published Islands Connectivity Plan (ICP), produced by Transport Scotland, seeks to address the future of ferry and alternative transport for Scottish Islands but excludes those ferry services operated by Local Authorities. This project seeks to address the gap left by this omission from the ICP and address the future of the mainland services operated by Argyll and Bute Council. This project will concentrate on two ferry services between the islands of Seil and Easdale and Seil and Luing.
