Summary of the contracting process

The Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA) is inviting tenders for the "Supply, Delivery, Installation, Commissioning and Servicing of a Nutrient Analyser." This procurement process, currently in the tender stage, falls within the environmental protection industry category and is managed through an open procurement method. SEPA, acting as both the buyer and a central purchasing body, is located in Holytown, North Lanarkshire, Scotland. Interested parties must submit their bids electronically by 15th August 2025. The selected supplier will be notified shortly thereafter, with the award period set to begin at 13:30 on the same day. This opportunity encompasses the delivery and commissioning of the nutrient analyser primarily in the UKM region.

This tender offers a promising opportunity for businesses specialising in scientific equipment supply and servicing, particularly those with expertise in environmental laboratory instruments. Companies with strong capabilities in electronic submissions and prior experience working with public bodies may find this contract appealing. The procurement allows for a potential growth avenue through SEPA's reserved option to purchase additional services and possibly a second instrument pending future budget approval, thus expanding business prospects. Businesses capable of meeting the high quality and performance criteria (70% quality weightage) set by SEPA, in addition to competitive pricing, will be well-suited to compete for this contract.
