Legio blocks are extremely large and heavy concrete blocks used to build 'bays' in the transfer stations to store waste before it is sent off to processors. There are currently 2 types of legio blocks in the Stations; 'Full blocks' weighing 1.76 Tonne with measurements of 1.2m x 0.8m and; 'Half blocks' measuring 1.2m x 0.4m. The Council are looking to award a contract to a single supplier for the supply and delivery of these to the Waste Transfer Stations.
