Notice Title

Revit model conversion PIN

Notice Description

Potential Requirement We have an Estates & Facilities Management System, which offers up to date information for our users, however our main source of building data is maintained within Revit models. The management system is fundamentally based on using CAD drawings with data encoded into polylines/polygons, which allows it to extract the data and populate/update the management system database. We are looking at the market to see if there is potential to secure a company, in the area of computer-aided design (CAD) and ideally automation in this area, that will be able to: Produce CAD drawing files from Revit models, retaining and converting key data from the Revit model and applying them to data polylines/polygons within the CAD files. The CAD files will then go on to populate and update our Estates & Facilities management system Create a tool, process and/or model, that would (ideally) ultimately be owned by the university for future processing of these files and data. Alternatively, we may be open to discuss a cost-effective subscription-based model for the processing of these files to be done off-site and returned in a timely fashion, but this model would need to not be dependent on a number of guaranteed files per year as this would be something we could not commit to.
