Lot Information
Lot 1
DGC are looking to build on previous feasibility work to model the impact of future sea level rise due to climate change on a Dairy farm and possible opportunities to enhance biodiversity benefit and carbon sequestration by allowing inland migration of the existing saltmarsh. Also to understand the hydrological impact on the remaining farm of allowing saltmarsh migration and also daylighting two burn running through the farm. Outline of works required 1)Review feasibility works already undertaken 2)Run detailed sea level inundation model for whole farm to fully understand the natural impacts of the farm unit. 3)Ground truth this model 4)Liaison with farming to understand impact on farm business 5)Look at feasibility and hydrological impacts of daylighting previously culverted burns 6)Complete a detailed project design to a level to allow for detailed cost estimates and tender of the works required 7)Estimate of carbon sequestration and biodiversity benefits.
