Williamsburgh Housing Association - Medical Adaptations to Existing Properties
Notice Description
The Contract will involve the successful Contractor undertaking medical adaptation and associated works within existing residential dwellings over a three-year period from the commencement date. Currently, Williamsburgh Housing Association undertake and provide approximately Twenty-Five (25) adaptations to existing bathrooms annually to their customers who reside in Paisley, Johnstone, Renfrew, Elderslie and Kilbarchan Renfrewshire. Individual Orders will be issued for each adaptation required during the Contract. Individual Orders may include full medical adaptation works to an existing bathroom or shower room, singular or multiple component works or trades. The scope of works is envisaged to include; Replacement of existing mainstream bathrooms with wet floor bathrooms or shower rooms; Replacement of existing mainstream bathrooms with level access tray shower rooms; Replacement or installation of extract ventilation fans; Electrical works; Wet wall laminated wall boarding or ceramic tiling; Replacement or new installations of individual or multiple components including sanitaryware, wall, floor and ceiling finishes, electrical and lighting works and grabrails; Builderswork including plaster, plasterboard or timber finishing works. All major adaptation works, including walk-in shower room and overbath shower works, must be completed by the Contractor within four calendar weeks (twenty-eight calendar days) of receiving an Order from Williamsburgh Housing Association. Upon receiving an Order, the Contractor must also undertake a fully survey and provide the total price breakdown for undertaking the major adaptation works within one calendar week (seven calendar days) of receiving the Order. All minor adaptation works, including grabrails, deaf smoke alarms and other minor adaptations, must be completed by the Contractor within ten calendar days of receiving an Order from Williamsburgh Housing Association.

Single stage tendering and all bidders may submit a tender. Economic operators may be excluded from this competition if they are in any of the situations referred to in regulation 8 and 9 of the Procurement (Scotland) Regulations 2016. SPD Question 2D.1.2- Bidders must provide a separate SPD response (Sections A and B of this Part and Part III) for each subcontractor.
Renewal: May take up option of twelve month extensions up to a maximum of two further years (2028-2030) at an estimated value 70000 to 100000 GBP (excluding VAT) per annum. The anticipated cost per annum excluding VAT is 70000 to 100000 GBP
