Summary of the contracting process

The Scottish Government recently completed the contracting process for the "DJUST-Domestic Homicide and Suicide Reviews Training," which falls under the services industry category. This procurement targeted professionals involved in Domestic Homicide and Suicide Reviews across Scotland, aiming to enhance their skills and knowledge through specialised training modules. The initiative was led by the Scottish Government, a central purchasing body located at 5 Atlantic Quay, Glasgow. The procurement followed an open procedure and has progressed through planning, tender, and award stages, with a notable completion date on 10th March 2026. Key activities will be conducted in the region UKM, and the outline of requirements emphasizes improvement of response performance related to domestic homicide and suicide reviews.

This tender presents significant opportunities for companies specializing in training and education services, particularly those adept at creating structured learning modules and engaging diverse participants like professionals, advocates, and community members. Advocacy After Fatal Domestic Abuse Limited (AAFDA), a small to medium enterprise, has been actively awarded a contract to deliver key aspects of this initiative, valued at £250,000. Businesses with expertise in supply chain management, environmental measures, and addressing cyber security standards could find growth potential in similar future opportunities. Ensuring compliance with necessary legal and financial criteria, such as maintaining sufficient public liability and professional indemnity insurance, is imperative for strong competition in these types of public procurement processes.
