Notice Description
Cromwell Court is located at 9 Cromwell Street, Glasgow, G20 6UN. The building is owned and operated by QCHA and functions as supported accommodation. The lifts within the building comprise; 1x 4 stop hydraulic passenger lift serving levels G, 1, 2 & 3. And 2 x stairlifts located adjacent to the passenger lift and within the main stairwell. 1 stairlift serves the entrance adjacent to the lift up to the mezzanine level and the other lift serves the rear entrance level and levels 1, 2, & 3. All 3 lifts are to be completely replaced

This procurement exercise involves the complete replacement of the existing passenger lift and 2 stairlifts that are presently installed withing Cromwell Court. Cromwell Court is located at 9 Cromwell Street, Glasgow, G20 6UN. The building is owned and operated by Queens Cross Housing Association and the building functions as supported accommodation. The lifts within the building comprise; 1x 4 stop hydraulic passenger lift serving levels G, 1, 2 & 3. And 2 x stairlifts located adjacent to the passenger lift and within the main stairwell. 1 stairlift serves the entrance adjacent to the lift up to the mezzanine level and the other lift serves the rear entrance level and levels 1, 2, & 3. The successful lift contractor will be required to fulfil the following elements of the contract. Principal Contractor under CDM 2015. Removal of all existing lift equipment and safe disposal Preparation of the lift shaft and stairlift stairwells Relocation of existing power supplies and installation of new fuses isolator switches Supply and installation of new lifting equipment Installation and testing of any lifting beams / eyes as required Fire stopping and compliance with Building (Scotland) Regulations All necessary electrical and building works Making good and redecoration on completion of the works Commissioning tests and issuing of the relevant specified documentation Issuing of relevant declarations of conformity and UKCA marking The passenger lift system must be installed and commissioned in accordance with British Standards, specifically BS EN 81-20, BS EN 81-21, BS EN 81-28, BS EN 81-58, BS EN 81-70, BS EN 81-73. The stairlifts must be installed and commissioned in accordance with British Standards, specifically BS EN 81-40.
