Notice Description

NatureScot has a requirement to place a contract with an external service provider for the provision of Deer Vehicle Collision Data Collation and Analysis Project, 2025 - 2028. NatureScot, in conjunction with Transport Scotland (Scotland's national transport agency) requires the collation, analysis and reporting of data relating to deer vehicle collisions (DVCs) in Scotland to help improve our knowledge of DVCs across the Scottish road network and to inform decision making regarding the implementation of DVC mitigation measures.

Lot 1

NatureScot, in partnership with Transport Scotland, has been running the Deer Vehicle Collision (DVC) Project since 2008. The previous phase incorporated data to the end of 2024. The purpose of the project is to collect and collate data, analyse that data and then provide information to NatureScot, Transport Scotland, Road Operating Companies, local authorities and local deer managers to assist them with decision-making around the allocation of resources and delivery of actions to reduce the number of DVCs and thereby reduce risks to public safety and safeguard deer welfare..
