Notice Title

Provision of Additional Bow Thruster MV Varagen

Notice Description

The current MV Varagen bow thruster is powered solely by the starboard main engine. Consequently, the loss of this engine during maneuvering leaves the vessel with only the port main engine and no thruster capability. The proposal is to power a second bow thruster from the port main engine to increase redundancy and improve maneuverability in adverse weather conditions. The contract will require the supplier to design and submit proposals to Lloyds Register (LR) for approval with assistance from owner. Supply the required approved equipment and install following LR procedures. The additional bow thruster will then be commissioned.
