Summary of the contracting process

Scotland Excel is buying street lighting materials through a framework for use by all 32 Scottish councils, Tayside Contracts and eligible associate and public-sector members. The requirement covers LED lanterns; galvanised tubular steel and aluminium lighting columns; sundry items including cable and wiring; traffic bollards and signs; and maintenance components. Evaluation is 70% price and 30% technical quality for every lot. Variants are not allowed, and the framework may appoint up to 30 participants.
