Summary of the contracting process

Aberdeenshire Council is seeking contractors through a Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) for its Lifecycle Component Replacement projects across their estate in Aberdeenshire. The procurement falls under the works category, targeting various sites across the region UKM50. The process is currently in the tender stage, employing a restricted procedure, and invites electronic submissions. Interested parties have until 10th April 2026 to apply initially, with the system reopening for further applications post this date. This tender offers business opportunities within the general public services sector primarily for those interested in construction works, as indicated by CPV classifications 45210000 and 45453100. This initiative aims to create a comprehensive framework that facilitates the ongoing maintenance and improvement of council facilities.

This tender opportunity is well-suited for businesses involved in construction and maintenance services, as it covers tasks like gas and oil boiler replacements, roof refurbishments, and other building upgrades. Companies that provide housing improvement works like kitchens, bathrooms, and heating systems are particularly invited to compete. The DPS structure allows businesses to engage in various mini competitions, each requiring specific criteria to promote fair bidding among suppliers. By participating, businesses can secure workstreams guaranteed over a defined contract period with possible renewals. The procurement system not only helps businesses engage in individual projects but also supports long-term business growth within the public sector. Aberdeenshire Council’s collaboration with the Scottish Development Programme further provides essential training for new participants in the tendering process using the PCS-T systems, ensuring that businesses can effectively compete.

Community benefits are included in this requirement.
