Purchase of an APS with Scanning Kelvin Probe System

UNIVERSITY OF EDINBURGH

This public procurement record has 1 release in its history.

Summary of the contracting process

The procurement process involves the University Of Edinburgh, which is seeking to purchase an APS with Scanning Kelvin Probe System. This is categorised under the education sector and falls within the Edinburgh region, specifically at Charles Stewart House, Chambers Street, Edinburgh. The procurement stage is complete, with the contract award dated 17th April 2026. The process was conducted through a limited procurement method without a prior publication due to technical reasons, with KP Technology Ltd identified as the sole capable supplier. The awarded contract, valued at £91,590, ensures the delivery of goods necessary for advanced educational and scientific research.

This tender presents substantial business growth opportunities for suppliers specialising in advanced scientific instrumentation, particularly those with expertise in Kelvin Probe and Air Photoemission Spectroscopy techniques. Given the specific technical requirements outlined, companies capable of integrating semiconductor and metals measurement capabilities, high-accuracy surface area scanning, and comprehensive photoexcitation analysis would be well-suited to compete. Such businesses can leverage their specialised knowledge to meet the precise demands of educational and research institutions, thereby enhancing their market presence within the academic sector.
