The University of Strathclyde ("the University") is seeking to establish a Contract for the Provision of Electric Motor Maintenance & Associated Services (2026-30) (UOS-42030-2026).

Lot 1
The University of Strathclyde ("the University") is seeking to establish a Contract for the activities outlined below. The Contract will include, however, will not be limited to: - Providing maintenance of electric motors & other associated systems: - Providing motor rewinds including attending site, provision of lifting equipment (where required) to remove motor, remove from site, completion of maintenance with eventual redelivery & reinstallation: - Rewind using Class F or H insulation, dynamic balancing to ISO 21940, bearing replacement and, electrical testing & certification: - Provide mechanical overhaul including complete disassembly and inspection, shaft and rotor condition assessment, replacement of bearings and seals, machining and refurbishment, laser alignment, vibration analysis: - Maintenance of motor control systems including design, supply, installation and commissioning of motor control panels: - Supply & commissioning of inverters (VSDs), parameter programming and optimisation, functional testing and safety verification, and harmonic assessment: - Providing a 24-hour call out service; and - Providing test reports, material certificates, wiring diagrams, as-built drawings & warranty certificates following inspection (where applicable). This Contract will be awarded on a sole supply basis and will be largely related to Services.. Economic operators may be excluded from this competition if they are in any of the situations referred to in Regulation 58 of the Public Contracts (Scotland) Regulations 2015.
Options: In line with 72 - Modification of Contracts During their Term, of the Public Contracts (Scotland) Regulations 2015, this Contract may be modified without a new procurement procedure in accordance with this Part in some cases.
Renewal: The contract duration is 24-months, with the option to extend for up to an additional two 12-month periods. The Contracting Authority reserves the right to utilise the extension periods at its discretion.
