The University of Strathclyde ("the University") is seeking to establish a Contract for the Supply, Delivery, Installation & Maintenance of Automatic Car Park Barriers (2026-30) (UOS-42632-2026).

Lot Information

Lot 1

The University of Strathclyde ("the University") is seeking to establish a Contract to support the delivery of activities outlined below. This Contract will include, however, will not be limited to: - Provision of bi-annual planned & reactive maintenance for car park barriers & bollards: - Ensure the barriers are correctly linked with the University's access control system: - Ensure correct operation of ground loops: - Ensure barrier intercoms are operational: - Provision of a call out service via dedicated telephone and email with a maximum attendance time of 48-hours. The Contractor must adopt a 'first fix' approach to make the site safe if the repair cannot be completed in the first instance: - Ensuring any new barriers have 'built-in' safety features to account for pedestrian obstruction, vehicle obstruction & any other relevant features; and - Provision of an ongoing upgrades programme over the course of the 4-year contract. There are 10 barriers on campus, 9 of these are more than 15 years old and their replacement is part of this Contract, 3 in the first year and 2 in each subsequent year. This Contract will be awarded on a sole supply basis and will be largely related to Goods.

Options: In line with 72 - Modification of Contracts During their Term, of the Public Contracts (Scotland) Regulations 2015, this Contract may be modified without a new procurement procedure in accordance with this Part in some cases.

Renewal: The contract duration is 24-months, with the option to extend for up to an additional two 12-month periods. The Contracting Authority reserves the right to utilise the extension periods at its discretion.
