Summary of the contracting process

The current procurement process, initiated on 29th May 2026, is in the tender stage for the "Thenue Housing Association - Repairs and Voids - 2027-2037" contract. Managed by Thenue Housing Association Limited, a central purchasing body located in Glasgow, this contract falls under the "Housing and community amenities" industry category. The services focus on responsive repairs, void property works, and planned maintenance across residential properties in the UKM82 region. The procurement method being used is a restricted procedure, with electronic submissions required by the 30th of June 2026. The contract has a significant value of £25,000,000 and emphasises quality with a 60% quality criterion for awarding, balanced with 40% weighting on price.

This tender offers substantial opportunities for businesses experienced in housing works, particularly those specialising in maintenance and repairs. The emphasis on digital integration and customer service suggests that firms with robust IT systems and customer management processes would be well-suited. The procurement expects to impact local economies by encouraging small and medium enterprises (SMEs) through supply chain opportunities and additional commitments to community benefits such as apprenticeships and local employment. Companies that adhere to fair work practices, such as paying a living wage, and have a strong record of community engagement will have a competitive edge. Businesses should be prepared to demonstrate previous successful contract outcomes and the ability to deliver on the outlined community benefits to maximise their chances of success.
