Summary of the contracting process

The Scottish National Investment Bank is inviting tenders for the provision of Alternative Investment Fund Manager (AIFM) services, along with administration and depositary services. This initiative is aimed at launching a small number of UK-domiciled, non-retail unregulated collective investment schemes targeted at institutional investors. The project is aligned with the economic affairs sector and takes place in Edinburgh, UK. The procurement process is currently in the tender stage with an open procedure being followed. Key dates include a tender end date of 20th July 2026, and the award period commencing on the same day. The estimated contract value, considering optional extensions, is £2.8 million over a total of six years.

This tender offers a significant opportunity for businesses specialising in financial management, specifically those experienced with hosted AIFM and associated fund administration services. Ideal candidates are firms with a robust track record in managing institutional investments and the necessary regulatory permissions from the Financial Conduct Authority. The contracted services may lead to substantial growth through regulatory oversight, risk management, and extensive operational infrastructure development required for managing investment funds. Companies with expertise in both fund administration and depositary services, including those equipped to accommodate the complexities of private markets, are well-positioned to compete for this opportunity. With a focus on quality and service delivery management, this contract offers engaging prospects for firms looking to expand their services to high-profile institutional clients.
