Lived Experience and Poverty Stigma Programme
Notice Description
Dumfries and Galloway Council intend to commission an organisation to work with their 100 voices group, to establish an ethical and sensitive methodology for seeking the views of those with lived experience. Furthermore, to explore the issues of stigma, the impact it has on families living in poverty across Dumfries and Galloway and to develop a local poverty stigma toolkit with families being supported in our Fairer Futures Partnership (FFP).

The organisation should; Have practical experience of Service Design Approaches in service development and improvement Have experience of co-design with individuals who have lived experience Have an awareness of the barriers created by poverty stigma Develop a clear plan of delivery Co-design with our 100 voices, an ethical methodology of gathering and supporting the inclusion of lived experience. The lived experience of families in poverty is key to our approach locally to tackle child poverty, and it's important we get the approach right for those willing to share those experiences with us, and that our practitioners across Dumfries and Galloway have the skills and knowledge to challenge poverty-stigma to reduce the barriers this causes.
