Summary of the contracting process

Public Services Delivery Scotland intends to procure haemostatic and coagulation products for use in healthcare settings across Scotland. The requirement is for goods used to control bleeding and support blood clotting, including absorbable haemostatic gauze dressings, absorbable gelatine sponge dressings, fibrin sealants supplied as licensed medicines, thrombin and gelatine/thrombin mixture sealants, other blood-clotting sealants including solid haemostats, and related accessories, including any free-of-charge items. The procurement is intended to supply all Scottish health boards, so delivery and distribution would need to cover the whole of Scotland.
