This requirement is for a trap laser system suitable for performing large-scale quantum computing using individually trapped neutral atom qubits where the requirements below are needed to achieve long lifetime, high coherence and long-term stable operation. The laser system capable of achieving high power (>8 W) of 780nm light generated via frequency-doubling (second harmonic generation) of the output from a telecoms 1560nm amplified fiber laser system.

The laser system capable of achieving high power (>8 W) of 780nm light generated via frequency-doubling (second harmonic generation) of the output from a telecoms 1560nm amplified fiber laser system. Mandatory Specifications Below is a non-exhaustive list of the specific requirements. The specifications are for the target 780 nm output requirements. The specification for the 1560nm seed and amplifier are to be defined by the supplier as required to meet the target 780nm output specifications. -Output Wavelength 780.24 nm -Power > 8W @ 780.24 nm -Single longitudinal mode, -Linear polarisation > 20 dB extinction -Tuning range >15 GHz no mode hop -Narrow linewidth < 20 kHz (100 ms integration time) -Output fiber 1m length from amplifier to free-space SHG head -Free-space output beam with 1/e2 diameter in the range 0.5-2 mm -Output beam TEM00 with M2 < 1.1 -Seed laser included if required -Power stability < 1% over 3 hrs -Pointing stability : < +- 0.5 urad/degC -Seed laser included if required -Delivery time <= 18 weeks ARO -12 month warranty -Air-cooled amplifier
