Notice Description
1.2 The council has a requirement to maintain road pavements as part of its statutory obligation to manage non-trunk roads within its geographical area. As the largest city in Scotland, with a population in the region of 650,000, Glasgow has one of the most heavily used and extensive road networks of all 32 Scottish Local Authorities. This road network has attendant maintenance requirements, and it is these requirements that necessitate appointing supplier(s) for the provision of road materials.

Benchmarking was conducted using annual volumes and prices from the current council framework for coated and uncoated roadstone which have been measured against the current Scotland Excel framework pricing.
Options: The council reserves the right to source non-core and additional items from the awarded Supplier.
