Summary of the contracting process

River Clyde Homes is procuring works to supply, install, test and commission complete cold-water booster pump sets, with all ancillary mechanical and electrical components, at 10 high-rise properties in Inverclyde. The contractor must size the booster sets to meet each building’s required flow and pressure, including peak demand conditions. The equipment specified is a Grundfos Hydro MPC-E 2 CRIE10-9 U1-A-A-A HJ set, or an equivalent alternative, with final selection and sizing confirmed in the tender response. The works include removing and disposing of existing equipment, commissioning, certification and handover documentation. The first planned sites are Kilblain Court, Regent Court, Heather Court and Rowan Court. River Clyde Homes is the buyer and housing provider.

The procurement has reached tender: River Clyde Homes invited offers through an open procedure. Bids must be submitted electronically through the buyer’s electronic post-box by 11 September 2026 at 12:00 UTC; the bid opening is scheduled for the same time. Questions must be raised through the electronic question-and-answer facility. The contract period is 1,080 days, with a possible further two-year allocation for six additional properties following the first-year installation of four pumps, subject to performance and agreement. Bidders must complete a site visit before submitting. They must first demonstrate technical capacity and relevant experience through the SPD before full tender evaluation. Bids must be in English, remain valid for 90 days, and variants are not allowed.

This opportunity suits specialist mechanical and building-services contractors experienced in commercial or residential booster-pump installations, particularly in high-rise properties. Competitors need the technical ability to assess building flow and pressure requirements, select and size suitable pump equipment, integrate mechanical and electrical components, remove existing plant, and complete testing and commissioning. The requirement calls for competent staff, with staff names and professional qualifications included in the submission, and evidence of technical capacity and experience before full evaluation. Contractors must provide certification and handover documentation and support the installed equipment with a minimum one-year warranty, remedying faults during that period without charge. The scale is a multi-site programme covering four initial properties and potentially six further sites.
